What do I need to know before the Summit?

The Igniting Change: Inclusive Health Summit is now just months away. To help you plan your participation and get the most of the Summit, we created an Inclusive Health FAQ, which defines inclusive health and provides examples of changes that organizations and partners can make to help achieve inclusive health.

What is the vision of the Igniting Change: Inclusive Health Summit ?

The  vision of the Inclusive Health Summit is to raise awareness of the health disparities that people with intellectual disabilities (ID) face and to provide information on what organizations can do to ensure equitable access to health services for people with ID.

 

What is the registration fee for the Inclusive Health Summit?

No registration fee is required for attendance.

 

Will meals be provided?

Yes, brunch/early lunch and refreshments will be provided. If you have any dietary restrictions, please indicate in the registration form.

 

When is the registration deadline?

Please register by May 15, 2018.

 

I need to change my registration.

Registration can be transferred to another attendee by emailing inclusivehealth@specialolympics.org. Transfers must be made by June 1, 2018.

 

Can Special Olympics pay for my travel?

Unfortunately we are not able to provide financial assistance for travel. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis. For more information, please contact inclusivehealth@specialolympics.org

Driving directions
Follow the street signs to Interstate 5 North and continue on Interstate 5 North into downtown Seattle. Take the Dearborn/James/Madison Street exit. Follow the directional signs to Madison Street and travel straight down to the waterfront. Turn right onto Alaskan Way and the hotel is 3/4 mile on the right across from the Bell Harbor International Conference Center (Pier 66).

 

Do you have a hotel group rate?

Inclusive Health Summit attendees are welcome to a limited special group rate $269 plus taxes.  This rate is available from 6/27 – 7/4.  Click here for group rate reservations.  You may also visit the Special Olympics USA Games hotel portal for more options here.

Please note this will be a very busy weekend in Seattle and most hotels will be sold out.  It’s important to make your reservations as soon as possible.
